The arrival of Mitsubishi’s new Outlander SUV in the fall of 2006 heralded in a new era
for the brand. At last, a mainstream product with remarkably few compromises was
the right vehicle for changing times. Sensibly sized yet roomy, loaded with premium
innovations never before seen in its segment, and embodying the soul of Mitsubishi’s
motorsports heritage, Outlander revived a spirit of optimism at this long-struggling brand.
