Days of preparation are sometimes required to be on the spot at the right instant.
This was the case in Tokyo, where we hid Jim backstage and waited for Nissan CEO
Carlos Ghosn to finally reveal the GT-R to an eagerly waiting world in a 20-second
flash of smoke and lights. From there we spent a day in Nissan’s Tochigi factory
watching the 100-minute process it takes each engine to come to life at the hands
of one master engine builder. Thirty shots were chosen for their lone appearance at
an invitation-only event during the LA Auto Show.
