As part of the worldwide launch of their GT-R supercar, Nissan hired legendary rock
and roll photographer Jim Marshall — famed for his backstage shots of Johnny Cash,
Janis Joplin and the Beatles — to capture the passion of the people behind the car as its
unveiling drew near. At the record-setting Nürburgring track run, the Tokyo Motor Show
and in the sterile room where each engine is handcrafted by a single man, Jim took his
three aged Leica cameras and his magical eye for the moment. I was asked to accompany
him to get the story in words. |
